CANTOFEST OPERA PROGRAM 2021! There is a beautiful port city of Setubal in Portugal, where the Muscatel flows, abundant local delicacies stimulate the senses, a...nd world-class Opera thrives under the blue sunny sky. A place, where talented opera singers, top-rated world renown teachers, coaches, conductors and agents meet once a year during warm summer months to engage in an unforgettable music festival experience. We will be working in partnership with NYC Opera College, and accepting ALL lovers of singing, not only professionals! This is Cantofest! An exhilarating learning experience, our opera program invites world renowned opera coaches/agents and voice teachers to teach singers from all over the world in an intimate and exciting program. Affiliations include, but are not limited to the industry’s best of The Metropolitan Opera, The Salzburg Mozarteum, Opéra de Paris, Houston Grand Opera, La Scala, among others. Along with many concerts, in different locations in Setibal, the program will include a semi-staged production of Bizet’s Carmen, with a small orchestra (due to the global situation). This year, we are excited to have Casting Directors and Agents joining us! Cantofest is delighted to have the full support and collaboration of the Mayor of Setubal: Mayor Maria Das Dores Meira.
