Dear friends, Is it really going to rain tomorrow? We have had more than a few predictions this summer of a rain-out for the farmers’ market, but this one for tomorrow morning looks a little more real! But whatever the weather, the market will be open and at least I know the farmers will be there! I’m betting there will also be some brave souls who will show up with their sand-bagged tents. Bring an umbrella and stock up for your weekend meals! A Sunday cookout sounds good - the beginning of a week of cooler temperatures and lower humidity! I’m going to grill those shishito peppers whatever the weather! Hope to see you tomorrow!!!

We commend the Governor for signing the bill and we applaud NYS Assemblyman Steve Englebright and NYS Senator Rachel May for their strong leadership in bringing this bill to fruition. Grassroots was laser-focused on keeping the science front and center on this issue and we are proud to have been part of this effort along with our many allies, including Food & Water Watch, New York Public Interest Research Group, Environmental Advocates NY, Earthworks, NRDC and many others.
