Friday, April 2, is called Good Friday ... good because Christ Jesus showed His great love for man, dying on the cross to pay for the sins of all the world.

Thank you for all of your prayers. Carol Reed, our dear friend, went home to be with the Lord in the middle of last night. She succumbed to complications of COVID-19. We are so thankful for all the years that the Lord gave us to be together with her. So many people in the Harlem Valley and beyond have been touched by their lives. We will never forget her ministry with Pastor Charlie at the adult care facilities in our area and the hymn sing alongs. Their unique VBS programs were a real blessing to all. The Savior she sang about and taught the children about welcomed her home. Please keep Pastor Charlie in prayer. She loved staying in our home but she is in the best place that there is. Anyone wanting to mail him a card or call him, please PM/DM me. Thank you.

Although we posted this elsewhere, we want to honor Elsie's life here in our church page. Elsie was a wonderful child of God. She served the body of Christ in so many ways. Most of all she was family to us. She will be greatly missed. Elsie is the wife of our assisting pastor, James Galbo.

With the quickly changing situation, our elders realized that our church could not take the chance on being a vector in the spread of Covid-19. Therefore, we are canceling the services for tomorrow, March 15, at Greater Grace Community Church in Dover Plains. Special provisions are made to have our GriefShare (grief support) group meet at the regularly scheduled time. We are encouraging people to watch our main ministry online. Their services are at 9 & 11 am 6:30 pm.... GGWO.org See more

Weekly GriefShare support seminars are being held from Sundays, March 1- June 7, 2020 (4-6 pm) Are you asking,"Am I CRAZY or is this NORMAL?" You may be wondering this is if you are grieving the death of a loved one whether it be a relative or a friend. It’s a myth that people go through orderly, predictable stages of grief.... Grief does not follow a neatly outlined plan, where you move forward from one stage (such as depression or anger) to the nextand never again struggle with the emotions from an earlier stage. What you can expect during Week 1's seminar: 1. Group members discover why their grief experience is harder than they imagined. 2. Why the intensity and duration of their emotions are normal and appropriate. 3. Despite how they feel right now, there is reason for hope. So, if you’ve been wondering: Is what I’m feeling normalall these crazy emotions? The answer is yes. If you’d like to learn more about how to handle the daily emotions of grief, GriefShare.org can help and has been helping people through grief for over 25 years.
