Does Music run through your veins? Do you sing in the shower????

Great Neck Choral Society 22.05.2021

The Great Neck Choral Society is beginning its 62nd year! These are exciting times for us! We have a brand new, dynamic Conductor and we welcome new singers! We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9:30 PM at the Great Neck South Middle School on Lakeville Road. Come see us - visitors are welcome. Our first rehearsal will be Wednesday, September 4. Then if you think this choir is for you, stay for a very brief (and easy) audition. We hope to see you!

We will also be singing Gounod's "Messe Solennelle", also known as the "St. Cecilia Mass". We celebrate Gounod's 200th birthday in June this year! Joining our very talented Conductor Mr. David Close will be our former Director, Ms. Virginia Davidson, who will celebrate her 90th birthday in May. Virginia will raise her baton to conduct two pieces - her original composition, "Come Lord", and her beautiful arrangement of "Amazing Grace". Former GNCS singers and many of Virginia's former "Davidson singers" will join us in singing her pieces as well as our Rousing Finale, "Halleluyaw" by Lewis Lewandowski.
