Exciting morning in 5th grade yesterday! Greece Police Resource officers Babcock and Murray spoke to and answered questions from the students about law enforcement. For the class's Business Letter assignment Abrielle Halterman had written hers to the Greece Police chief asking about lowering the speed limit on her street because people are driving too fast. The letter was so well written that the chief shared it with others and sent the officers to 5th grade for a personal response! Great work Abrielle!

Please visit our school Open House this Thursday! While scaled back just a little from previous years you still will be able to take in student work in art, Spanish, English, middle school science projects, and more! You are invited to visit the classrooms and speak with our dedicated teachers. Enrollment packets will also be available for the fall. The Feast of Purin celebration!

Today as a part of their Feast of Purin celebration 5th graders reenacted the Book of Esther for 2nd grade. It was an amazing performance!

Congratulations to the GCS Blue Knights Chess Team! Championship middle school team (once again!) this year. This was particularly significant as there were mostly new players, and from grades third through sixth only. Cristian Mazur earned the highest point total recignition. Praise the Lord!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Day to all teachers - especially to those at Greece Christian School! Teachers play such a vital part in shaping the future. Today we too recognize their contributions in joining other heroes in our communities "stepping up" during this time of crisis to meet the needs of others. A message on the days following Christ's crucifixion from the principal.

During our second week of moving to home instruction due to the mandatory school closure order all GCS teachers participated in online team meetings lead by Arline Porcelli. We are encouraged with the response from parents and students from preschool through eighth grade as we all embrace our new approach to learning. Along with leveraging the use of our current online tools, Google Meet has been added for live instruction in most classes. We will continue to refine our virtual campus approach in the weeks ahead. Middle school teachers happy to see each other at our online meeting for prayer, sharing, and professional development.
