Reminder: For 3 days, starting tomorrow, Tuesday 5/4/2021, Chenango County Courts will be renting Greene Rod and Gun Club from 8am to 5pm. They requested the entire facility be shut down. so there will be no member shooting on any of the other ranges.

Greene IDPA "Second Saturday" match registration opening soon. I have learned how to create "reserved" spots for SO and scorekeeper on squads and also learned how to create pre-registration codes for safety officers to register early.

The Greene Rod And Gun Club board of directors is seeking input expanding the clubs archery range opportunities. The range is set up for crossbow, compound and... longbow archery practice. The board is interested in how many members currently plan to use the range, how often and what improvements that members may like to see. Attention: Monday April 12th thru Friday April 16th, you must find Michael Vanca to request permission to shoot on any range from 9am to 5pm. Michael is the lead instructor for Broome County Government, Security division. They have rented Greene Rod and Gun Club for this time frame for training their officers. NO tuesday breakfast April 13th. Breakfast will resume April 20th.

I have spent many a Friday night at this club years ago shooting with my father-in-law and good friend. now I have returned as a coach of a youth competitive shooting team and we're right back to Friday nights and shooting under The lights. beautiful Club and great people

Update Tue 10-20-2020: I spoke to Ron Lee this evening. We will plan to work from 9am to noon. We will have Hotdogs, Hamburgers and soda for all the workers. JP and Mike West will work the Kitchen. As per meeting last night, Joe will plan to have another work party at the target/impact area of the 500 yard range. Work Party Saturday Oct 24th, 9am Park in the main parking area near the cluhouse. Don’t worry if you do not have a chainsaw to bring as we could use several helpers to assist each person with a chainsaw. In the event a surplus of volunteers show up, we can divide into multiple groups so that we do not have too many people too close to each other. If you have a pole saw, you may help cut branches in the roadway from the clubhouse to the dry creek to help open up the roadway. Perhaps one or more groups could start cutting the blue painted trees from impact area to the dry creek.
