TODAY - The Village will be participating in the 10th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep. Volunteers will be cleaning the Hudson River bank starting at 9am. Volunteers welcome, please see Maggie (on site) to register.

Before you start your day stop by the Paine Street Park... To clarify, the Kid Safe ID that will be serving as Reaident/Park IDs are for kids, those under 18yrs old. The Albany County Sheriff’s Department will be bringing the Kids Safe RV to the Paine Street Park on TODAY and TOMORROW from 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. ... The Sheriff’s Department will be issuing Kid Safe ID cards, which will serve as a resident ID card. These cards will be required for use of the park throughout the summer. Families will be required to show proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, driver’s license, etc.). Please do not miss this opportunity!

April Showers Bring May Flowers!! The Senior Citizens will continue selling flowers this week. Stop by the Center (5 George Street) any day this week between 10am - 2pm. Surprise your mother, aunt, sister, neighbor, or friend with a beautiful hanging basket for Mother's Day. Hanging Baskets $22... Cash or checks accepted! Thanks is advance for your support!

Thank You to Ecovative volunteers for getting the Paine Street Park and River Park ready for spring and summer. Ecovative is recognized nationally for creating plant based meat, biodegradable packaging, and leather-like textiles. Pretty neat that they are right here in Green Island!

Today is the day, lets have some Easter fun! Please be mindful and considerate of the event details. All participants must wear a mask. Please maintain social distance. Each child will be allowed to find up to 10 eggs. The eggs collected can be taken home to enjoy!... The children will be divided into age groups. While you wait you’ll be able to take pictures with the Bunny! While you’re on the hunt count the number of paper eggs you see hidden throughout the park. We’ll create a new post at the end of the event. You’ll be able to enter the number of eggs you find as a comment to the post. You can enter a guess until noon tomorrow, whoever comes the closest will win a prize!!! Thank you to Catskill Hudson Bank for sponsoring today’s activities!!!
