Green Street Food Truck

It’s almost Mother’s Day which means we’re pulling out all the stops to provide you the very best brunch menu. We’ve got a little bit of everything to meet your needs including some amazing scones (the best I’ve ever tasted), chocolate-dipped cannoli cupcakes, and soooo much more. We (the food truck) will be set up outside of our new storefront in Levittown (7 Emerson Ave). Service tomorrow is from 10 am - 2 pm. We will have limited outdoor seating available as well for tho...se that want to stay and eat. As always our brunch menu takes a little bit longer to prepare than our regular menu so please be patient. As you already know good food takes time and we want to make sure you have the very best experience. Tomorrow is the beginning of many amazing events at our new store and we are so excited to see you all.

We are non-stop this week! We’re even pulling a double on Friday (a private lunch event at a school) but I don’t have room to put it on the schedule!! Anywho, we’ve got a full schedule starting today in New Hyde Park at LIJ. Grab a friend and come get some lunch!!!

Our Vietnamese bowl is on still special today! We will be setting up in Bayshore @dubco_ from 12-7 pm. Come get your Sunday eat on in the sun with us.

Yo!! Please excuse my delay in getting the schedule out, we’ve been crazy busy working on @greenstreeteatery. We’re doing another brewery crawl this weekend and the weather is looking great! A little bit every day, that’s the current motto. We’ve torn down all the wallpaper, patched 99% of the drywall and we got new windows installed! The gas was turned on today so we have hot !! The wainscoting is getting put up and Caroline is using the British metric system for accuracy in our measurements. Can’t wait for opening day. Morning, unfortunately, we will be closed this week. I’ve been dealing with some major shoulder issues that ultimately landed me in the ER last night till 4 am. I’ve got some medical exams this week which will hopefully provide some insight into what is causing this pain. I’m typically the type of person that will suck it up and push through but I’m trying to be cautious and think about the future. We’ve got some big private and public events coming up after this week so I n...eed to get rested and healed up as much as I can. A big shout out to my brother-in-law Brett Logue for carting me to two different places and staying with me at the ER. Another big shout out to my Uber driver Edwin who picked my delirious self up at 4 AM and safely delivered me home. Anywho I’m gonna take this week easy and I can’t wait to be back out and seeing you all. -Matt

Unfortunately, we simply ran out of time with making all the Easter cookie boxes and won’t have any donuts today. I’m super bummed but you will be seeing the lemon poppyseed donut in our next donut box. We’ve got some delicious pancakes and French toast coming your way so come hungry! I’m mean seriously who doesn’t like tacos? I don’t think I could live in a world without tacos. This selfie was taken moments before I started up our food truck for the first time and drove it home from Virginia. Although I was trying to make a silly face I was actually freaking out inside and I was hit with a wave of panic. These are the thoughts going through my mind at that moment. 1. I don’t know how to drive a food truck 2. I need to find a gas station that sells diesel STAT because the gas light is on... 3. I just bought a food truck 4. Repeat thought #3 and add in the fact that I wiped out my retirement accounts, savings account, and my kid's college saving account. 4. How do I get home without taking any tunnels 5. OMG I just made the costliest mistake of my life and I will surely be divorced soon Yeah needless to say I was freaking out. As much as my inner self was saying it would be all good my practical self was saying.. Matt, you’re an absolute idiot and you REALLY screwed up this time. Long story short I made it home, a few white knuckles, and close calls but we made it back. The sudden waves of panic and fear didn’t subside until a few months after we opened. I still had/have them but they are less intense. I think it’s pretty normal and expected when you’re taking a massive leap of faith into the unknown. In the end, I’m beyond grateful to have listened to my innermost self than letting the negative thoughts control my choices. You cannot allow fear to control you, if so you will be stuck in the mud and won’t be able to achieve the greatness that within. It’s been a crazy 2.5 years since we first opened and I’m grateful to be able to wake up every day and do what makes me happy and fulfilled. It hasn’t been an easy road but anything worth anything isn’t gonna be easy. #taketheleap #trustyourself

A big shout out to our friends @veganshopco for always hooking us up with the raddest vegan stickers and goodies! They are a local Long Island-based company that ships all over the country. They design and produce everything from stickers to t-shirts and everything in-between. They’ve been helping us deck out our cash register with their sick stickers. They are perfect stocking stuffers or just a great way to do so low key vegan activism. You all are AWESOME! The last two days have been cold and today it was raining but nothing stopped you all from coming out! Thank you so very much to everyone that traveled from far to get brunch today and our Philly cheesesteaks. We’re feeling the from you all.
