Our last but certainly not least Webelos to be crossing over to Troop 42 at the end of this month is Cameron. Cameron was 6 years old when he entered our Tiger program. Cameron had many things that he enjoyed that he did as a Cub Scout including summer camp where he enjoyed making new friends and the new skills he learned while there. He also includes all the hard work himself and his friends put into making their cars for pinewood derby. Cameron was the scout who always volunteered to help and always held the flag during events. The entire den made blankets to donate to our local veterans and shortly after Cameron was inducted into the Sons of the American Legion. Cameron-Being a scout means being kind, caring, and trustworthy. It also means helping out in my community wherever I can and making sure to keep our community clean.

Our next Webelos who we want to acknowledge before they cross over to Troop 42 next month is William. William joined our program at 6 years old and entered into our Tigers program. Since then William has worked very hard to earn every advancements available to him! William said his favorite part of cub scouts was going to summer camp with his friends. William will be remembered for always setting the best example for our younger scouts during pack events and meetings. He was part of a den of very exceptional boys. William-Being a scout means to teach and be taught about survival and safety and to be prepared for whatever comes. It also means to have fun with your friends.

Today we would like to acknowledge our next Webelos 2, Henry. Henry joined our program at 8 years of age and entered into our Wolf program. He now will cross over into Troop 42 to continue on his amazing and very accomplished scouting journey. Henry said his favorite part of his Cub Scout journey was our Pine Wood Derby’s . He enjoyed that everyone comes together to race their cars that they had made all on their own. We know that Henry will continue to grow as a dedicated member of the scouting community as he makes this cross over Boy Scouts and are very proud of the time he has spent in our program. Henry- I like being a scout. I like to set a good example for the younger scouts.

Today we would like to acknowledge the outstanding and hard work of another Webelos who will be crossing over into Troop 42 to do what we assume will be beyond amazing achievements! Kayden joined our scouts program at 6 years old and joined into our Tiger program. Beside participating in every activity planned Kaydens favorite part of being a Cub Scout was going to Summer camp with his friends. Kayden was also the most dedicated to serving people at our pancake breakfast and helping out! Kayden has worked so hard over the years to make sure he could earn every advancement he could and to help where ever it was needed and we will miss that dedication to our pack. Kayden-Cub scouts is fun!

Since COVID has changed the way we do things in every aspect of our lives we will be using our social media as a way to honor our Webelos 2 den as this is their last full week of being cub scouts! Every day we will acknowledge one boy and their hard work and dedication to our program. Today we will begin with Apollo. Apollo joined our program last year at 9 years of age and entered into our Webelos program. He worked extremely hard during this past year to earn every Webelos... and Arrow of Light requirement possible even given these tough circumstances. Apollo’s said his favorite part of being a scout was his very first pine wood derby last year. He will be crossing over into Troop 42 and we are very proud because know that he will do great things as a Boy Scout! Apollo-Being a cub scout means that he can learn survival skills, how to take care of himself and enjoy spending time with his fellow scouts.
