Groton Olde Home Days 13.11.2020

Groton Olde Home Days = Canceled. June 23, 2020 Update: This letter is an extremely difficult one to share, but following the directive of the Village of Groton Mayor and the Village Of Groton Board we are writing to let everyone know that we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Groton Olde Home Days 2020... This year’s event was delayed with its planning as we had to try to switch gears during a difficult time in our country with the pandemic of COVID-19. We tried to continue to hold out hope that our state and county would fully reopen by or before our fair date of August 27, 28 and 29 2020. However, around the country, festivals and community celebrations are being cancelled or postponed due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19. So we had to make this difficult decision about how to proceed, and at this time the majority consensus is that we cancel our olde home days for 2020. We are looking forward to a bigger and better Olde Home Days in 2021. Playland Amusements has added our festival to the 2021 calendar. The carnival will be back again on August 26, 27 and 28 2021 and it will be great fun for the entire family, with rides, games, and classic carnival food. We have rescheduled many of our fun family shows to 2021. These include a magic show with Sir James, pony rides, petting zoo, BMX Stunt show and paw patrol greeting families. If you have any questions or would like to be added to our 2021 festival line up please contact us at [email protected]. - Flo Allen (607-280-4233) - Christine Brown Personius (607-898-3220)
