After 11+ years, it is finally happening - Gulick Park's restoration is complete and it will reopen tomorrow, September 19. Thanks to Brian Crowley, Elizabeth DeGaetano, Jim Johnson and Kim Sillen who have been dedicated volunteers to the sweet end. Opening date is not far off - hopefully by end of month, possibly sooner! It's looking great. Stay tuned....
Call for local heroes! Henry Street is setting up a new local food delivery effort for home bound seniors in the neighborhood this Tuesday and needs volunteers. You would bring a week’s supply of food from 301 Henry Street (5 minute walk from Hillman) to local seniors who are uncomfortable or unable to leave their homes. It starts at 9 AM and would be a 1-2 hour commitment. I’m helping coordinate the start-up and can be contacted here or David at uncommongoods dot com. https://www.henrystreet.org//covid-19-updates-at-henry-st/
