American Museum of Natural History/Hayden Planetarium’s Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon Classic 3D Laser Show ran from 1974 to 1997. In the final year of its run we printed 6,000 4/0 23 x 35 posters promoting the show. The art is a reinterpretation of the cover of the Dark Side of The Moon album, but a fluorescent version of the rainbow colors forms a spiral, suggesting the kinetic choreography of the lasers. I recently saw this poster hanging in a bar in Asbury Park, NJ

Combining Embossing, Heat, Unique Paper & Design For An Extraordinary Result Embossing and debossing use engraved metal dies to create raised or depressed areas on the surface of paper or cardstock to make a 3D effect with letters, logos or patterns. With embossing, the paper is pressed between a male dieon which the image is raisedand a female dieon which the image is recessed. As the male die presses into the back side of the paper, the female die presses into the front ...side and the pressure of the two dies forces the paper fibers to stretch into the recessed die. The result is an impression that is raised like a cameo on the front side of the paper. The image you see is a result of embossing using heat on the die. You can see that the heat creates a burnished appearance enhancing shadows on the edge of the lettering, scroll design and tree. highresolution has a wide variety of printing techniques and unique papers that will make a great difference in the reveal for your future productions. In the high-stakes world of fashion, image is everything. So when Coach Inc. the holding company for Coach New York, Stuart Weitzman and Kate Spade New York rebranded itself as Tapestry a few years ago to take the focus off the famous leather goods name, everything was designed to reflect the tapestry concept, right down to the premium designer notebooks given to guests at the launch party. Brand design firm CSA (Carbone Smolan Agency) developed the new name, story and ...visual identity, choosing a vibrant Yellow paired with stark-yet-subtle Black-and-White textural brand patterns. These bold, fresh and lively patterns really come to shine in the notebooks. www.paperspecs.com//weekly-pap/tapestry-designer-notebook/ #creativeprintingforcreativepeople #wecanhelp #thenewnorm #notebooks #highresolution #branding #influencerpackaging #digitalprinting #directmail #directmailmarketing #hotstamp #neuroscience #MohawkPapers

Neuroscientists, psychologists and other researchers have looked at how people interact with paper, comparing it to their interactions with other media These studies dominantly show that people read best on paper for three reasons: it makes content more intuitively navigable; it facilitates better mental mapping of information; and drains fewer of our cognitive resources, making retention a little easier. All of this is because paper is a physical, tangible medium. Studies show that when we read on paper we process information differently, sustaining a different level of interest. Online reading is often purposeful and utilitarian, a kind of information foraging. https://lifeinhighres.com//golden-touch-how-the-haptic-br/
