Dear Families, We hope you remain well and safe during these difficult times. We were disappointed not to have a 2020 season. This difficult decision was made to ensure the safety of our players, families, and the community.... At this time, we do plan on having a 2021 baseball season. The specifics and details of the season have yet to be determined, as we continue to monitor a very fluid situation including the relevant trends, treatments, and timelines. For those families that registered for our 2020 season, your payment is held securely and can be applied to the 2021 season - and we will do what is best for individual families and registrants. The league's Board of Directors continues to meet and examine all options. We will be providing additional details on the 2021 season after the New Year. Dear Families, We hope you remain well and safe during these difficult times. The league's Board of Directors continues to meet, monitor, and examine all options for a 2020 baseball season. This process includes ongoing conversations with the Town of Oyster Bay. Through our most recent meetings with the Town, we learned our current and only option for a season is highly limited, consisting of a small number of players participating at the same time. The Town requires that we ...initiate and supervise social distancing at all times. It would also entail only practices, not games. Considering these limitations, and more importantly the safety of our community, the Board will not be pursuing this current very limited option associated with the upcoming re-entry phase. We will continue to meet with the Town on a regular basis. As we move forward, we will monitor and assess the guidelines associated with the situation, and will do so through the fall. In the event we need to cancel our season, we will issue a credit to families for next season; and of course, do what is best for our individual families and registrants. While the situation is both disappointing and fluid, we continue to prioritize the safety of our league above all. We hope to be watching our children play baseball as soon as possible.
