This eureka moment where I was like ‘Oh, the prescription I want to write is for a healthier home, and that’s not stocked at the pharmacy at Boston Medical Center. Dr. @megansandel talks about how housing impacts health in a segment from our +You thought leadership series.

"For too long, the federal government ignored or denied its obligation to redress the harms of racist policies even despite an explicit mandate in the Fair Housing Act to take affirmative steps to address the ongoing harms of discrimination, segregation, and exclusion." A new administration won't change the fact we will still have to advocate harder & louder to push for systems change and ensure the cost of home is something we all can afford...in our community and around the country.

We will do the work in our practices, our programs and our networks that brings equity to our efforts and helps bring justice to the communities in which we work. We will, throughout our ministry, connect issues of racial and social injustice with historic barriers to affordable housing and work to eradicate those barriers.
