Organizations applying for funding must work within the Jewish community in the United States and toward one or more of the following areas: Promoting leadership advancement: Initiatives that increase the number and capacity of women in positions of leadership. Breaking glass ceilings: Initiatives that provide opportunities for women and girls to advance in all fields, particularly those not ...previously accessible to them. Increasing political representation: Initiatives that promote the representation of women in policy advocacy and public service. Eliminating religious barriers that create unequal and/or separate playing fields: Initiatives that ensure interpretations of religion do not infringe on women's rights. Tamar Schwartz, Executive Director of Women's Spirit: Women's Spir...it provides tools, knowledge, and support for the economic independence and personal development of women survivors of violence. Noam Shmallo, Resource Development Coordinator of MASLAN: MASLAN, one of nine crisis centers in Israel, offers emergency services and counseling for people located throughout the Negev region The Jewish Women's Collective Response Fund is a group of five Jewish women's funds that joined forces to address the sharp rise of domestic violence in connection with COVID-19. Convened and facilitated by The Hadassah Foundation, the Response Fund is comprised of: Greater Miami Jewish Federation's Women's Amutot Initiative, Israel Lion's of Judah, Jewish Women's Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago Jewish Women's Fund of Atlanta, and The Hadassah Foundation.
