I helped stock the books for the the library in the Kingston 2020 Showhouse. Funky coincidence- the house itself used to belong to the guy I bought the bookstore from. I saw it last night and of course had to pose by the sci fi.

Happy Thanksgiving my dear Half Moonies!!!
Find(s) of the Day: Utopias!!! Always dreaming of a better world
We are delighted to be carrying Jacinta Bunnell's new book. Jacinta has been in the vanguard of writing books for kids that challenge the gender binary.
Sweet, gentle Tivoli. Working here is pretty close to a vacation for me, a little weekend getaway. I'm here til 6 and Bob is running the show at the Mothership.
We finally had some tote bags made! 3 cheers for local biz Antilogy for printing these gorgeous cotton totes for us. $15 each, available at both stores. They hold a lotta books!
Find of the Day: best example I've seen of the type of cover of the type of book that this is.
Ethucally troubling Finds of the Day: 1st Us/UK editions of Celine, terrific books by an anti-semite and fascist. An ongoing and never fully resolved discussion here at HMB is "how to, or should we even, separate the art from the artist?"
Congratulations to Louise Glück for winning the Nobel Prize for Literature!
Find of the Day:
The incongruous typography of Freud/Lacan made me think of movie titles from 60's comedies so of course now I'm daydreaming of buddy flicks featuring two hapless psychoanalysts or a pair of everyday existentialists caught up in a bizarre jewel heist/case of mistaken identity/road trip gone wrong. Nothing but time on my hands here in Tivoli today.
My next store is going to be called "Infinite Jess".
Moving day for my girl! I know this has nothing to do with books, I'm mombragging.
I unloaded the van in Tivoli and took a little peek.
Welp, I've done it again. Great collection of Jung, Beats, Gurdjieff, Occult, etc. It will start hitting the shelves next week.
