Clearly visible house numbers are imperative to have. Valuable time is wasted when responding to emergencies when buildings do not have easy to find and easy to read numbers.

Today is the perfect day to secure loose objects before strong winds arrive Friday morning. A High Wind Watch remains in effect for most of western NY Friday. Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible.

Last night Hamburg Firefighters held our annual bail out training. This training is critical in making sure our firefighters are prepared should they have to evacuate from a fire scene from an elevated height. Thank you Brian Horwood and Ronald Bourgeois for assisting with this training.

HVFD Firefighter Josh Preshoff was on hand to receive masks donated by Ford Motor Company for local Fire Departments in the Hamburg, Boston and Eden municipalities
