The 2021 calendars are in! If you did not order one already, we do have some extras, at $10 each. If you are local, you may come to the museum on Wednesdays, 10-4 or Saturdays, 9-1. You may also order on our website, www.HammondMuseum.com by scrolling down the Homepage to the "Donate" button. If you need a calendar sent to you, please add $2 for shipping & include your address. If you would rather send a check, send $12 to HH Museum, PO Box 107, Hammond, NY 13646. These make wonderful Christmas gifts, so get yours soon, before we run out!

Our favorite Celtic band, Steel City Rovers, just released this beautiful song. We can't wait for them to return to our Scottish Festival on July 10, 2021!

Exciting times at the museum! Work has begun on our 16 ft. addition to the far end of the main building. When finished it will display the wonderful RT Elethorp models, which will make space for a research room & a few more displays. Ace Contractors is doing the construction & Mark Reynolds is the architect who drew up the great plans..

Calendars are $10 (if you pick up) + shipping (if we need to send to you). Email [email protected] with the number of calendars that you would like and I can let you know how to pay. Here's what's included in the calendar: Jan-Chippewa Bay Store, Feb-old car on ice in front of Ragnovak, Mar-Manzanita Is.1894, Apr-Rob Roy Is., May-Cedar Island Store 1911, June-Temagami Is., Jul- sailboats, Aug-1905 Gold Cup winner Chip I, Sept.-Wyanoake Boathouse, Oct-Phillips Hotel on Cedar Is., Nov-Vamoose boat (used in WWII), Dec-Little Squaw Is. On the first page, there is information on the CYC and individual yearbook photos of the Hammond Class of 1971. On the back of the calendar is part of the St. Lawrence County 1896 map that includes names of people on the islands at that time.

Just a view from a different angle with the Demick cows in the background. It's sad to think that as the days and years go by, dairy farming in our local areas is drastically decreasing. (Don't mind the stone pile by the sign. It's a "work-in-progress" for the little flower garden there.)
