As a community-based organization of artists, Hardscrabble Theater stands in support of Black Lives Matter and the demonstrations and protests that have ensued since the killing of George Floyd. We also affirm that going forward we intend to take a proactive approach as a community theater and explore ways to reach out to people of color and strive to engage artistically with the black community. We welcome constructive involvement from our patrons, fellow actors, and the entire LI community to join us in this endeavor. Hardscrabble Theater Board of Directors
In light of the current state of emergency that is in effect, there will be a hold on any Hardscrabble theater activities, meetings or events until the situation is abated. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns
It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our amazing set designer, Jeff Arnold. Jeff was the force behind the concept and construction of our past three shows. His work was something that audiences always commented positively on and he will be sorely missed. Moreover, Jeff was a friend - to anyone who needed his help - and he was always there to "make it happen". RIP my friend. Your kindness, dedication and talent will be sorely missed.
Kudos and much praise for this amazing group. Thank you all for making Hardscrabble Theater proud and for gracing us with your talent! Happy Holidays to all!...
