REST AND RECOVERY need to be made a priority in order for you to reach your fitness goals. Sleep, nutrition and adequate rest is all part of the equation that will move the needle; going super hard and beating yourself up on a daily basis will have the opposite effect. So while you won't find us encouraging you to go hard 5 days in a row, we do recognize that SOME movement might feel better than NO movement at all.... On Thursdays you will now have the opportunity to do a Just Move! workout. The purpose of this is to give you the opportunity to opt into something that will get you moving and sweating but shouldn’t leave you feeling totally spent. WE BELIEVE IN ASSESSING where you’re at to know how to best help you go where you want to go. We’re not all built the same. We don’t all perform the same.... Our programming might need to be individualized accordingly. Here’s a basic example: For every one rep you can deadlift 100lbs you should be able to: Back-squat 80lbs 1 arm carry 50lbs for 10 meters Let’s say you can back squat and deadlift the same weight as each other. Continuing to train both the hinge and squat pattern the same may lead to aches, pains and further imbalances, not to mention a loss of performance. We want to make sure we take your abilities, strengths and weaknesses into account when creating a program. Feel proud when looking in the mirror 2. Live a long, healthy life... 3. Play with their kids 4. Defend themselves 5. Have confidence 6. Make a better living 7. Continue with their hobbies 9. Avoid sickness as much as able Obviously there are a lot of things not on this list. The point is that no one joins for the fitness, they join for the benefits of being fit.
