Journey To The Well Women's Summer Bible (at home) Harlem Based Study Group will run on Thursday nights 6/11 thru 8/27 The author Vashti McKenzie, uses the biblical story of the meeting at the well between the Samaritan woman and Jesus to bring to light the path to a personal transformation. We plan on joining together and traveling down that dusty road to meet Jesus every Thursday. This study will be held in a peaceful, non-judgmental atmosphere. Confidentiality is a requir...ement "what happens at the well stays at the well". A place where we can learn to trust our Sisters, confide in one another, as we travel down this road of life anonymously. When God met the Samaritan woman at the well, He changed her life and circumstances. Many of us are in need of God's transformative power in our lives, and we will be there with our empty waterpots searching for that living water. Rev. Stephen Fenchel of Chosen People Ministries will be our guest speaker this coming Sunday, November 9th, and will speak about Israel, the Church and the Middle East Conflict. Invite your friends, including Jewish friends.

Transformed, a Churchwide Growth Campaign, will begin the week of October 20th. Workbooks are required and are available for $15.

Most recently I was visiting some Seniors at a nursing facility, and I had decided that this day would be a HUG DAY , and after every conversation I'd ask if they needed a hug and if they could not respond verbally I'd hug them anyhow. One particular lady with silver hair was very confused and she asked me several times"how' s the weather"? I replied each time that it was beautiful outside. Then I got close to her and gave her a hug and the tears started rolling down her face. She looked up and then said "you look good girl" I choked back my tears and and thanked God that He allowed me to break through Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and such and reach His souls that day, can't wait to go back, give me a hug!!!!

The homegoing celebration for Pamela Burthwright, our dear sister and friend, will be Saturday, July 5th at 10:30 a.m. at Harlem Grace Tabernacle, 256 W. 145th Street, New York, NY. A viewing will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 am. Harlem Grace will provide a repast for the family following the service. Members are encouraged to bring a dish.
