Here we are again! Hello and thank you HRT fans and supporters, especially those who have been making small reoccurring donations during the theatre shut down. HRT strives to make theater accessible for the community. Ticket sales were always the lifeline for the theatre as HRT does not have sponsorships, grants or large donors. Most productions needed to sell at least 80% of the house just to keep the theatre going each month. And usually the Artistic director did his best t...o fill the financial gaps. Looking forward we are still trying to figure out how to move forward when things start to return to as close to normal as we can expect to get. The mission is to keep ticket cost low, but going back to full theater seating might not be the future of theater producing going forward. Once we figure everything out, we hope to see all you again. Yay! Onward is available to purchase right now and will be available on Disney+ April 6th. Such a tear jerker.

@catsmovie has issues, yes... But watching on a normal sized screen, most of this graphical issues just vanish and a wonderfully choreographed movie with amazing cinematography shines through. I really found this movie beautiful... I really wanted to join in the vitriol thrown at this movie, but could not. I remember how @catsbroadway was super odd. A musical review with some complex songs of silly cats, and that is what this movie is and has, so know this is not a movie for most audiences. But dang, it is beautiful and entertaining. Not the nightmare fuel most reviewers claimed... Granted, I didn't see it on a 50 foot screen.

It is with extreme regret that we have decided to cancel the remaining March and April HRT performances (SWEET CHARITY, PIPPIN, THE WIZARD OF OZ and JAMAICA). This is effective immediately. Because the virus is ubiquitous we are concerned that HRT actors will become ill and we will be forced to cancel performances. Likewise, it would be remiss of us to encourage our audience to come out and to travel on the subway and sit in an enclosed room with others when conventional w...isdom says that we should AVOID traveling on public transportation and NOT attend large gatherings. The HRT season will resume on Saturday, May 2nd with THE WIZARD OF OZ: A Jazz Musical For All Ages at 3:00PM. The other HRT productions will resume their runs later that month. We hope that you will return to the HRT to support us and our hard work when we return on May 2nd! Stay safe stay healthy
