Harlem Heritage Tours 31.10.2020

One of the most brilliant legal minds of the 20th Century was born on this day 83 years ago, October 20th 1937. Inspired by Thurgood Marshall and the legal victory that Marshall won in Brown v. Board of Education, Cochran decided to dedicate his life to practicing law,. Cochran would often say that he read all he could about Thurgood Marshall and was impressed by his ability to use the law to change society. Although known as a go to layer for the rich, he often was a success...ful advocate for minorities police brutality and civil rights case. The Harlem Heritage Tourism and Cultural Center, will never forget the legacy of Johnny Cochran. #misterharlem #harlemheritage #harlemtours

Kenseth Armstead premiering his latest work, "Boulevards of Monarchs" on West 116th Street and St. Nicholas Ave. Art installation inspired by the design of homes in Burkina Faso, West Africa, designed in honor of local leaders. Here Harlem we Harlem, we have many boulevards named in honor of our local monarches, I love street signs for various reason, one is that they help to inform and to maintain the cultural idenity of Harlem. #harlemtours #harlemheritage #misterharlem
