Two more weeks until opening day at Harley Field!!! Two more weeks until opening day at Harley Field!!!
Opening Day is tomorrow!
If you build it, they will come
I got the 10 ft. monster right field fence repaired thanks to Sadler Fence and Staining; Our new sponser for Harley Field. Now I gotta get that new sign made. The weather has been cruel, canceled first two games and got the lawn mower stuck by the split rail fence in foul territory.
SORRY- only 60 ft. BASE lines - George
WANTED: 10u,11u & 12u teams! ..call George 434-1292 or 807-2234
2019! Reservations for field are starting to come in. Need some Clarence Center and Mel Ott teams. The winter fertilizer is on the grass waiting for Spring. Already requested Porto-potty from Modern. The state will be rebuilding the bridge this year so, only one way in. Must come down the road from Rapids. The real good thing...no traffic and we'll use the road like an extra parking lot! Yah-hoo! see you soon!
The Robins are ready to play ball!
Wednesday July 27 ... Clarence vs Grand Island (9-U) 6:15 PM
The Monday Play Off Game: Should of been renamed the most likely to be big leaguers. Both teams were determined. The West Seneca South Line out shined our all mighty mini An-Jo Bombers, 9 -3. The Bombers bats were just too cool through out the game. But the Bombers tried one more blast at the end, loading the bases, once or twice. Good finish for the little guys! Congrats to South Line! "Hats off" to Chris and Molly your team learned a lot this season and I'm sure it won't be forgotten.
Rain came - grass is returning to green! Tuesday July 26...An-Jo Rookie game 6 PM.
Ok, this is a possible repeat, I must of forgot to hit the enter button...errh! Sunday, July 10 results was 14-3. The Visitors beat the Home team, fantastic plays though...the catcher caught a foul ball while sliding on his knees! Good turn out with the attendance...thank you, it was a perfect evening. Now I'm hitting the enter button! No, the publish button!
Lost...Sunday 5:30 game : lite green - lite dark blue and white.. batting gloves and bat (31 in.) with the words 10 minus on it. Please call 434-1292.
Extreme Hot and Dry day!
Sorry, it's been to hot to type; no AC in the house, thanks to all for helping me keep Harley Field going. Hope to see you back! We had a mishap Sunday afternoon. I was informed from a young boy that someone had lost their box of Skittles candy in the hole in the Porta-Potty.
To: Dawn Miller, call me 434-1292. We don't charge...donations to keep the Field going are excepted. PS I'm not good with the computer. Thanks.
The Rochester Cougars were just too sharp for the medium-mid Bombers of An-Jo. They mercied Game one and then pounced all over the mid-Bombers like they had a big chew of "cat-nip" one more time...but the Bombers tried to come back only losing in the bottom of the sixth inning 18-10. It was a HOT game! Happy Birthday goes out to one of the Umpires who called a great game, especially in the heat!

Earlier Sunday, Game One, congrats go out to Bombers (10u) Jake Gould #23 for hitting a "Home-Run" on the Ford sign, in left field, a good 220 ft. blast!. both games were a see-saw battle with the medium-Bombers losing by two runs twice.
A Lot of "booms" made by the almighty mini-Bombers Sunday evening. Both teams played well, except for the bats of the mini-bombers were just too hot! NT tried to out play them on fielding - the hitting would not cool down. Much action...good game. Final score An-Jo Bombers 21 - NT 9.

The sharp looking Green and Yellow uniforms were back! North Buffalo; they know the game. They gave the An-Jo Bombers a wake up call. I hope they have a rematch, both teams played hard...a lot of sliding and scoring. 21-7. The Hot Dogs were good as well!
