Harmac is proud to sponsor the International Institute of Buffalo's annual fundraiser, Buffalo Without Borders! The event showcases #refugee and #immigrant restaurateurs and features four festive evenings of carry-out cuisine and cultural activities. This year’s to go version will take place over the course of four Monday evenings. Themes include Abyssinia Ethiopian: African (10/19); Kiosko Latino: Latin American (10/26); Sun Cuisine: Asian (11/9); and Falafel Bar: Middle Eastern (11/16). To get your tickets and support this important organization, please visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/buffalo-without-borders-to-go-
So proud of our #Ireland team, which has 30 cyclists riding 5,110 virtual km -- the distance from our Castlerea facility to our #buffalony HQ -- to raise money for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. They are almost there/here in terms of distance traveled, BUT they could use your help in their fundraising goal. Please support them at https://lnkd.in/gprQNCg #giveback #medtech
Harmac was happy to welcome Jarlath Burke, Acting Principal of Castlerea Community School this week. Our own Shauna Ryan (pictured at right) and Edel McGuinness gave him a tour of our facility, with a focus on the #safety measures we've introduced since the pandemic began, such as temperature detection cameras, facial recognition clocking, contactless door opening, hand sanitising and cleaning procedures. We also made a donation of face masks, hand sanitiser and cleaning supplies to the school, and shared training materials and other info. We will continue to work with CCS as they welcome students back next week, and wish all of our communities' schools every success as they reopen. #medtech #safeschools
Today was an amazing day for our Bailey Green initiative. We had roughly 100 volunteers come together -- with masks and gloves -- to lead a clean-up of our neighborhood. These volunteers worked in small, safe groups and included Independent Health's Red Shirts, youth from the The Buffalo Urban League and Frontier Central High School's National Honor Society, Fillmore District Council Member Mitch Nowakowski, Lovejoy District Council Member Bryan Bollman, Urban Fruits & Veggie...s, the Buffalo Peacemakers and of course our own Harmac employees. We picked up litter and debris throughout the 10-block neighborhood AND dropped off fresh produce and dairy items to the neighborhood's residents. Our deepest thanks go out to everyone who volunteered today and helped our residents feel hopeful and proud of their community. #urbanrevitalization #giveback #BaileyGreenBuffalo See more
We're proud to sponsor a new distance learning initiative for Buffalo’s students -- about 1/3 of whom don’t have reliable computer or internet access. Starting today, My TV Buffalo WNYO Ch. 49 (Cable 8) will broadcast Buffalo Summer Learning Enrichment, a series of half-hour #STEM courses designed for K-12 students and led by Buffalo teachers. We have close to 400 employees at our Buffalo HQ, many of whom reside in parts of the city where internet access is an issue. We're honored to help these families. It’s important that their kids can #learnfromhome before in-person classes resume. The project is a collaboration of the Wellness Institute of Greater Buffalo & WNY in cooperation with Buffalo Public Schools. https://lnkd.in/gPGrV3X #distancelearning
We’re all excited for next week’s dedication of the new walking trail and adult exercise equipment along the perimeter of Somers Park in Castlerea! Harmac has been dedicated to revitalizing this park for years now, and we partnered with the Roscommon County Council, Town and Village Renewal Scheme and Castlerea.ie Team to fund this project. The official opening is set for next Friday, July 31 at 2 p.m. please join us (at a safe social distance), or watch it streamed live via Castlerea.ie. Pictured from left are Harmac’s Managing Director Mick McEnroe and HR Specialist Orla Clarke, along with Roscommon County Council Chair Pascal FitzMaurice. #healthyliving #medtech #giveback
We were thrilled to donate several boxes of toys and outdoor fun to our neighborhood Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo on Bailey Ave. From chalk and #rubikscubes to decks of cards and water toys, we hope it helps these kids make the best out of a #Buffalo #staycation this summer!
Our Buffalo team was pleased to welcome the ConnectLife Bloodmobile to our headquarters today. It allowed our employees to donate easily, by stepping out to our parking lot for a safe and convenient experience. Just one donor can save up to three #WNY patients! Want ConnectLife to come to your office? Just visit https://www.connectlife.org/ #giveback #savelives #medtech
We’re pleased to team up with Sunnking to support its E-Scrap for Camp program, which sends kids who have been touched by #cancer to Camp Good Days and Special Times Inc. Harmac employees are bringing old recyclable electronics to work -- and the funds raised will benefit families right here in #WNY. Want to join us? Just visit https://www.sunnking.com/business/e-scrap-for-camp #giveback
Proud of our Harmac colleagues Kaitlin Koehn and Emily Duckworth for supporting this great cause!
We were thrilled today to partner with The Buffalo Urban League, Buffalo Go Green, Inc., Urban Fruits & Veggies and Buffalo Peacemakers to help families in @BaileyGreenBuffalo stay healthy as we all begin to re-open #WNY from the pandemic shutdown. More than 320 residences received a large box of fresh produce, made possible by a grant, delivered right to their door step! We're proud to work together to help provide safety, health and opportunity for our neighbors. Thanks to all of today’s volunteers! Working together, we'll all get through these challenging times and emerge stronger when it’s over. #healthequity
One month ago our H3 Tijuana Team gave a donation to the Agtagama Asylum, which cares for elderly community members with no family nearby. That gift has provided them with much-needed facility upgrades, from electrical, ceiling, and structural repairs to new handrails, window protections, and first aid equipment. We love to see the results of our support! To support them as well, visit Agtagama,A.C. #medtech #giveback
Harmac continues to support Meals on Wheels for WNY which needs us especially nowadays. We used to send two employees per delivery, but due to social distance requirements, our volunteers have gotten creative. Some make "solo runs," while others bring their spouses, kids and other family members as navigators. Of course, we wear gloves and facemasks for every delivery to ensure everyone’s safety, and while our interactions with these housebound neighbors are briefer than we’d like, they’re especially appreciative of our efforts right now. To see how you can do the same, visit www.mealsonwheelswny.org!
