We had a public wildflower walk scheduled for today at CLC’s Harris Conservation Area. Because of the pandemic, that didn’t happen. So here’s a virtual walk through. It’s based in large part on a Natural Resource Inventory of the Harris Conservation Area that we conducted for the Columbia Land Conservancy four years ago. However we also made a quick jaunt through the site this morning, so the post is spiced with some more recent observations. One note based on this morning’s walk if you want to get as full a feeling for this walk as you can virtually, then read the rest of this while seated in a room into which you have released a couple hundred mosquitoes. (But it was still a nice walk!)
