As 2020 (finally!) comes to a close, we want to thank everyone for supporting HEF and helping us to once again give back to the Hastings Schools and our kids! Here are the highlights of our year: Sponsored Diverse Voices, Diverse Paths Speaker Series Contributed 25 Chromebook to the Hillside Library Media Center... Provided funds for a much needed new sound system for the HHS Auditorium, along with the necessary equipment to allow for virtual theater events Purchased Sewing Machines for the Home and Careers classes at FMS, supplies for a new Culinary Chemistry Course at HHS... and many other grants. Joined forces with Hastings SEPTA and the Hastings-on-Hudson PTSA to establish the COVID Response Fund to assist all three HOH schools Bingo nights and raffles that brought people together for some virtual fun, HEF fundraising, and a special raffle in support of the neighboring P.S. 100 Bronx. HEF is exploring ways for our community to simultaneously support an underserved school while also supporting our own.
