Founders' Day on May 22nd is coming right along! Food historian Susan McClellan Plaisted of Heart to Hearth Cookery will be with us, doing her Lenape foodways demonstration--- thanks to sponsorship by Cara Gifford and the Albert Wisner Public Library. The 5th NY Regiment will again help us out with showing daily life of the men and their families, and the Warwick Center for the Performing Arts will be assisting with the Maypole dance! http://bit.ly/HathornFoundersDay

Announcing the Bays Internship for Divisity in Reenactment --- deadline for applications is August 15! Thank you, Cara Gifford, for making this program possible! Our organization's mission is to engage the community in coming to know all the people of the local community then --as diverse then as it is now. There are deep connections between their experience, their struggle, and our own. They tried to move towards the ideals set forth in our founding that were then and are s...till far from being realized. As a history group we don't "do" current politics or social activism--- but we are determined to try our best to provide opportunities for further understanding of where we came from, how we got here, what it means to today. We are hoping that our new program, below, will be in some small way a step in the right direction._
