Nali demonstrates a foraging game we play that requires only items from around your house (in this case a small blanket). Nalani is pretty active so we like to stay busy. This is also great for puppies or dogs who eat too fast! Foraging opportunities are a need that owners are responsible for providing because dogs left to their own devices are still going to explore and look for food. If not given appropriate outlets they will find things like your garbage can. Fulfilling their need to forage with games like this can help prevent unwanted begging and stealing.

As we get ready to start our fiber to fashion online bootcamp tomorrow, I’m wrapping up loose ends around the house and here that includes baths, brushes and nail trims... We check nails and feet weekly to keep everyone healthy and comfortable. Even if we only look at the paws it’s a good idea to check for any damage or injury!... Most of my dogs have learned to willingly put up with baths, but our new kittens enjoy them. I’m chalking this up to the proactive training in handling, car rides, crating, leashes/harnesses and bathing we did! Which one of these pictures is your dog?
