Hawley Christmas Tree Farm 06.01.2021

The countdown to Christmas is on! We will be open Saturdays and Sundays 9am-3pm beginning November 28. Pricing: $35 for all trees up to 8'... $50 for trees 8' and up We have some family members who are in the high-risk category, and since we have customers who come from far and wide, we want to do everything we can to ensure everyone's health and safety. Fortunately, since we're an open-air venue and our customers come in family groups, it's not too complicated. Here's what you can expect when you visit us this year: We will be a true SELF-SERVE tree farm this year. Customers will be responsible for cutting, baling, and tying down their own tree. Saws and twine will be available if you do not have your own. We will have a limited number of volunteers at the farm during regular business hours who can assist customers who physically cannot do any of these activities. Our ATV will be available to help transport larger trees only. We ask that face coverings be worn in our parking area, at the baling structure, when interacting with our volunteers, and at any time when physical distancing from other parties isn't possible. Payment may be made in the form of exact cash or check. We will not be making change. Wreaths will be available., but the cabin will not be open this year We value each and every family who chooses each year to make us a part of their Christmas tradition. While this year may look a little different, we hope you will still make fond memories at the tree farm, and we look forward to next year when things will hopefully be back to normal.

When looking for your tree this year, don’t overlook the lollipop trees. These are trees that we’ve trimmed due to damage from deer. If you’re looking for a small to medium sized tree, a lollipop might be just what you’re looking for, and you don’t have to get down in the mud or snow to cut it down!

Enjoy this video from last year's light preparation in anticipation of the Franklin Rotary Christmas Tree Project installation. This morning Rotarians hit the s...treet, going door-to-door on Main Street to drop off flyers and inform Main Street residents and businesses about the project. If you live on Main Street, but missed the Rotarians, check your door for the flyer. If you would like to participate in the Rotary Christmas Tree program, please let us know by Saturday, November 21, 2020. Checks made out to Franklin Rotary Club can be mailed to P.O. Box 178, Franklin, NY 13775 OR you can call the Franklin Eyewear Office on Main Street for a drop-off option, (607) 287-4986. Rotary provides, sets up, and takes down a lighted tree; if an extension cord or timer is needed, please indicate so with your donation. A donation to the Christmas Tree Project will help fund two Rotary youth development projects: the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, a week-long mentoring and training at SUNY Oneonta, and the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, which provides the opportunity for Franklin Central School District High School students to spend a year abroad. Both programs are life-changing experiences and help our youth become tomorrow’s leaders. A donation of $20 is suggested, however any amount, great or small, is appreciated and will help fund our youth programs. Thank you for helping our community volunteer efforts. Even if you don’t live or work on Main Street, you can still make a donation to the Franklin Rotary Club towards our youth programs or other community projects, or even sponsor a tree for one of your neighbors. Questions? Call Don Hebbard at 607-829-8664. A big thank you goes out to Hawley Christmas Tree Farm for providing the lovely little trees again this year. #rotaryinternational #rotary #peopleofaction #franklinny #delawarecountyny #delcony #franklinrotary #Christmas #holidays #MainStreet #youthleadership
