Massage Therapy FINALLY got specifically included into phase 3 reopening. Therapists are allowed to open with restrictions starting tomorrow! I, however, have not prepared my shop yet, so my official reopen date will be June 30th. Below are my new summer hours. I can’t wait to see you all! I apologize for the lack of posts and info for Healing Hands. It’s obviously been a challenging couple of months for everyone and I hope this finds all of my clients healthy and safe. As most know, I have been closed due to COVID-19 and have gotten many messages wondering when I will be reopening. At this time it doesn’t look like the state has plans for LMT’s to start business in the near future. Because of the nature of massage being in a closed space with close contact, ...we will likely be included in the last phases to reopen. I know many of you are hurting and I miss my job terribly as most everyone does, I’m sure. But the safety of my clients and family comes first and foremost. This virus almost killed my mother last month, she was on a ventilator for 10 days but with the help of an amazing medical team and a group of prayer warriors, she survived and is now home continuing to heal. The effects of the virus are long lasting and I would never want another person to go through that nightmare, so I will wait until it’s safe. Remember all the things I taught you, MOVE MOVE MOVE, it is your best friend! Stretch those pecs and front arm muscles for shoulder pain, let your head hang back off the side of a bed or couch to relieve tension in the neck. Try some online yoga! STRETCH STRETCH STRETCH! This weekend has been a tough one for me, trying to decide how to handle the social distancing in a business literally based on physical contact was no easy task. I was trying to plan out extra safety and sanitation measures but at the end of the day, massage and social distancing just don’t work. Lol Public health and safety is always the number one concern and the best way to really protect my clients and myself is to close shop for now. I will be clearing my schedule unti...l the end of March and will reassess the situation for April in a couple weeks. If you already have an appointment scheduled for April, I am leaving those as standing for now. I know this will be a disappointment for many but I hope you all understand that this was not an easy decision for me. Please be safe and listen to all of the precautions and guidelines being set. This is unchartered territory for all of us, but if we listen to our experts and trust the process they have created, we will all benefit in the long run. Clients that I am having to cancel will be given first dibs when I reopen. My schedule is closed through April for online booking right now so that I can accommodate cancelled appointments first.
