B'yachad Zoom [Together on Zoom] starts next week! Starting February 9th, HLA 8th graders will be meeting fellow 8th graders from Yuvalim school in Or-Yehuda, Israel, and enjoy the benefit of remote learning -- using Zoom from their homes to connect and build relationships across the ocean -- and several time zones! Our goal is to build on the global citizenship aspect of our mission and allow students to meet their Israeli peers: to learn about each other, share experiences ...and talk about things that interest teenagers around the world. Students will participate in various activities in Hebrew and in English. What an incredible initiative to bring us closer to Israel in a meaningful and engaging way!

Our school communities have some wonderful things planned to celebrate, remember and honor influential Black figures in American history. How are you celebrating this month?
