I joined Councilman Anthony D'Esposito for a great time at the Incorporated Village of Lynbrook Tree Lighting and Blessing of the Creche. Thanks Lynbrook Mayor Alan Beach and the village board for the wonderful evening!
Stopped by earlier today to support Nassau County Legislator Laura Schaefer’s drive-thru Shed The Meds program being held in partnership with the Inc. Myself, Councilman Thomas Muscarella, Hempstead Town Clerk Kate Murray and Assemblyman Ed Ra thanked Legislator Schaefer for organizing this event and all the residents who participated by safely disposing of their old medications!

Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin & the Town Board have one mission this holiday season: no resident within this town goes hungry for the holidays. We are proud to announce our latest partnership with Island Harvest to distribute thousands healthy food boxes to town residents facing food insecurity. The boxes supply food items including cooked meat, fresh produce, and dairy products all with food support resources, nutritional information, and instructions on how to conta...ct the Island Harvest Community Empowerment team who can assist with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program applications and referrals to services. Spent some time today with my Town Board colleagues at Island Harvest's drive-thru food distribution program at #Elmont Memorial High School. The Town of Hempst...ead recently allocated $400,000 in CARES Act funding to benefit Island Harvest's goal of eradicating hunger in our community - it was incredible seeing that mission in action. Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin, Councilman Anthony D’Esposito and Assemblywoman Missy Miller are calling upon an Oceanside Sanitary District No. 7 Commissioner to resign as a host of racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic and anti-disability social media posts attributed to him have come to light. The offensive and hateful social media posts were allegedly posted by a recently elected Sanitary District No. 7 Commissioner on his personal social media page. The Town Supervisor and Councilman, along with the Assemblywoman, are also calling upon the Sanitary District to appoint an independent investigator to conduct a thorough examination into the matter. Councilman Thomas Muscarella and I dropped a Town of Hempstead PPE kit to Louis H. Petillo, of Petillo-Petillo Accounting Services in Garden City South. The Tow...n’s program makes 6,000 PPE kits available for local businesses with items needed to keep staff and patrons safe. These PPE kits are available free of charge and are only available while supplies last, so businesses in need of these high-in-demand supplies are encouraged to apply online as soon as possible. This initiative has been made possible through funding from the federal CARES Act, which provided a $133 million grant to the Town of Hempstead to distribute economic relief grants to alleviate some of the adverse effects that have arisen due to the pandemic.
