Takmachik old post office is a beautiful historic building in Takmachik village in lower Ladakh, 120 Km from the capital Leh. It was used as the local post office until a few decades ago as well as housing a local traditional doctor. This beautiful historic building is in dire need of restoration and the Tibet Heritage Fund ( THF) team has been asked to restore the building and revitalize it for public benefit. This is one of the many stories we will hear tonight at the book ...launch of The Lhasa House (6:30-8:30pm) THF needs your support to continue their important work. If you are interested in making a donation, please write to [email protected] and they will walk you through the process . Or just DM me here! Event is brought to you in collaboration with @latseofficial , THF and Serindia Publication . Photo courtesy of THF
