Given the results of the recent presidential election, The Greeley Tribune finds it necessary to use this issue to discuss its outcome and effects. Although most students couldn’t vote, this is the only presidential election that Greeley’s current student body will experience as high schoolers. As editors, we believe that it is vital to embrace opportunities to showcase and discuss history-in-the-making from thoughtful, diverse, and important student perspectives. This is wh...y the News section of our next issue of Tribune will feature a small section of student-written pieces: personal narratives, letters, poems, and other creative writing responses to the presidential election on what its results mean for our futures as young people, and the future of our nation over the next four years. Please submit any personal writing pieces you would be comfortable sharing. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors welcome! Of course, if you feel uncomfortable sharing your name, we can list you as an anonymous writer in the issue. Message the Tribune News editors, Hannah Fenlon and Bhavya Gopinath, or the EICs (Amanda Cronin, Claireinet Hotchkin, Meaghan Townsend, or Billy Perlmutter) if you have any questions, or would like to contribute to this issue!
