Hackett Hill Summer Camp 09.04.2021

We hope everyone is doing well and making the most of this situation! We are still unsure about whether camp will be open this summer but are going ahead with getting it ready and hiring staff. Of course we will keep you updated as soon as we know! *Camp Announcement* For those of you that don’t know, this Hackett Hill Summer Camp page is only run by the Camp Director (Brittany Conklin) and Intern/Program Director (Kaity Gilmore). Unfortunately this year I (Brittany Conklin)... will not be returning as Camp Director. Hackett Hill has been my summer home since 2008 and it breaks my heart that I won’t be able to be with my summer family. However, there is a good reason for this...I am expecting my first child and of course my baby is due at the end of June, just in time for camp to start lol I am still helping get camp ready, hiring staff as well as planning on being available as long as I can!! Don’t worry, there will still be many familiar faces!! I want to thank all the families for all their support over the years and I will truly miss your children! All the best, Brittany Conklin

Hey Everyone, We hope all of you are staying safe and healthy!! There are so many things you can do while practicing social distancing and putting our everyday lives on pause. We know the children have school work to complete but we thought we would give you some ideas to keep your children entertained while being home. Here you go: -play outside -make a fort... -scavenger hunt -read a book or create your own story -dress up and put on a show or dance -any arts & crafts (use whatever you have at your house, children have great imaginations) -freeze dance -board games or card games (I’m sure they remember the ones they have learned from camp) -you could even pick a theme and gear your activities around that theme (you can find plenty of themes online) *Speaking of themes, if camp is still on as scheduled...Here are the weeks and themes for this year! Week 1 (June 29-July 3): Around the World Week 2 (July 6-10): Safari Week 3 (July 13-17): Superhero Week 4 (July 20-24): Outer Space Week 5 (July 27-31): Olympics Week 6 (August 3-7): Disney Week 7 (August 10-14): Carnival We know this time can be difficult and we wanted to let you know we are thinking of all our Hackett Hill families! Please feel free to message us on this page if you need help thinking of any more ideas!! All the best, Brittany Conklin and Kaity Gilmore
