Here are 10 Unique Facts about Hidden Hills, Central New York's Superior Community: The land has been owned by the Shute Family for over 150 years We have a water feature we built with giant boulders dug up during development. I am the 3rd generation (working with the 2nd) to operate the community. There are walking trails in the woods all around the perimeter.... By July 2021, we will have 80 homes. There is room for 120 more! The homes are built in Pennsylvania, and they arrive with lights and even curtains installed. Hidden Hills Country Homes is our third name. At first we were called Webb Hollow Development, and then for a long time we were known as Parc du Bois (park of the woods). People couldn't say it, couldn't spell it, thought it was a Golf Course. Our residents get access to special pricing as we have negotiated supplier deals for Hidden Hills residents. This includes propane! Hidden Hills is truly a community. People walk the loops together, always stop and say "hi" to someone sitting on the front porch, and most of all, neighbors help neighbors. In 1859, after a voyage from England, Samuel & Mary Ann Shute settled in Webb Hollow, in LaFayette, near the Onondaga Nation. After arriving in America, they were able to create quite the life for themselves. From raising two goats to pay for passage for his son, John, to planting an apple orchard, & purchasing the 55-acre farm he had started out renting, Mr. Shute died a prosperous farmer in 1890. ...Continue reading
