This is motherhood. It’s messy, it’s beautiful, it’s hard, it’s juggling, it’s heartwarming, it’s late nights with you and your baby, it’s running from one thing to the next, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done and it’s also the best feeling in the whole world. This is motherhood, in all it’s beautiful, messy glory. I am so grateful every day to these tiny humans who made me a mom. It is the best gift in the world.... What is motherhood to you?

We love this quote @motherhoodunderstood !!! And it’s so true. Just because this may not be your first kid, doesn’t mean that you’ve all of a sudden grown 8 arms and become cured of your need to sleep. In many cases, bringing a second child into the world can actually be more difficult because now you’re balancing two nap schedules, two feeding schedules, and keeping track of two little humans, while also somehow making time for yourself. We are here to help you, whether you’...re a first time mom or this is your second, third, fourth time doing this! You never have to do it alone. Click the link in our bio for more information. #Repost @motherhoodunderstood "Armed with four years of parenting experience, I thought I was better equipped to handle life with a newborn than I had been as a first-time mum. Eight months later, crying on a psychiatrist’s couch as I said out loud, for the first time, that I couldn’t handle being a mum of two, I was forced to realize just how wrong I had been." Words taken from @daniellecampoamor's article "I Thought My Second Baby Would Be Easier. And Then I Started Drowning" for the @washingtonpost. More honest, vulnerable, relatable words from both Danielle and Dr. Jessica Zucker (@ihadamiscarriage) below: In motherhood, the second time around, friends and family alike may expect that she’s got a handle on this identity shift and therefore may be less inclined to check in, offer support or do some of the celebratory things people often do when the first baby arrives, says Jessica Zucker... "The heavy molasses that is postpartum depression coated me more quickly than it did with my first or maybe I just noticed it earlier. The anxiety was more severe, threatening to crush my throat when my 5-week-old was diagnosed with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) & was admitted to the pediatric ICU." "The pressure to pick up right where I left off at work was so overwhelming I would shake with panic during my morning commute. It became increasingly difficult to get out of bed, to get my oldest to nursery on time, to remember to send that email or make that deadline, to keep the house clean, to cook a meal, to take.. This is so true. The last few years of your loved ones’ life don’t have to be lonely ones. You can set them up with an elderly care provider and help them enjoy this phase of their life with ease. Then you can spend the time you have enjoying them, instead of taking care of them. We offer elderly care as one of the services we provide, and we always have great candidates available! We would love to offer this wonderful service to your loved one. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you, Kevin Watkins, co-owner of Caring Hearts of Rochester in New York, for this lovely quote.

March is National Nutrition Month so we want to share 3 nutrition facts with you to help bring more nutrition into your (and your kids’) lives this month! 1. Try fruits as healthy sweet snacks and desserts and use fruit to top foods like cereal, yogurt, and pancakes instead of sugars, syrups, or other sweet toppings. Choose fresh fruits or packaged fruits (such as frozen, dried, and canned in 100% fruit juice) that are lower in added sugars and higher in dietary fiber, vitami...ns, and minerals. 2. Nut butters and unsalted nuts and seeds can make great snacks because they are good sources of protein, healthy fats, dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals. However, it’s easy to eat more of these snacks than intended, so don’t forget to check out the serving sizes. 3. Chill out in the freezer section and Read the Label. Compare frozen pizzas and vegetables (with and without sauce). Look for ones that are lower in saturated fat and sodium and are higher in dietary fiber, vitamin D, calcium, iron, and potassium. How are you celebrating #NationalNutritionMonth? For more helpful tips, check out this article by the FDA! https://www.fda.gov/media/89325/download

Yes, you CAN do it all but who says you have to? Having a housekeeper is SUCH a valuable asset! They can take care of all those day to day chores that end up being a huge time drain, so that you can spend that time focused on your business or playing with your kids. OR so that you can actually relax at the end of a long day, instead of having to face that huge pile of laundry Let us help you. We have candidates that are excited to start right now in the NYC/NJ area. Email us for more info: [email protected]

We love this graphic from @psychedmommy. It’s so easy to get lost in motherhood, and we’re here to tell you that this doesn’t have to be your experience. You can have someone help you around the house, you can have a night time nanny to help with midnight feedings, and you can have someone help you cook, clean, and do laundry so that you can spend the time recuperating the way your body needs. You don’t have to do it all alone. We are here to help you. Email us for more info ...about the services we provide! [email protected] #Repost @psychedmommy with @get_repost I hear this a lot from the moms I meet with. It’s any version of I’m just a mom or I don’t know who I am anymore. Motherhood can be so consuming that we feel like we’ve lost parts of ourselves. . Do any of the above statements resonate with you? . I named my online course Keeping Mommy in Mind for this purpose. It’s imperative that we bring the focus back on us. This doesn’t mean we stop focusing on our children and families. This means we place much needed attention on our own needs so we can be more than mom. When we do this we’re able to experience more joy. We’re also able to navigate challenges with greater ease because we’re not running on empty. . If you haven’t seen or heard, my comprehensive course will be available at an introductory offer from February 19th-22nd. I’ve linked the details in my bio. Please let me know if you have any questions. . Share with me, what’s something you would like to regain (or create if you’ve never done it before)?
