Did you know one in seven people will need blood at some point in their lifetime, but only one in 20 eligible donors will donate? That’s only five percent! And every two seconds someone in this country needs blood. That’s why Hillcrest is hosting a blood drive tomorrow, April 15, 2021 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm and there are a few spots left. Please consider signing up and saving a life! https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results

April 11-17 is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week where we celebrate and acknowledge the men and women who serve our community behind the scenes every day! They are often the first voice a person hears in an emergency and the calm voice we rely on every day to provide the information we need to do what we do! We are grateful for their hard work and dedication and say thank you for all that they do!

Training is not about being better than someone else.... it’s about being better than you used to be! It was a great night of LIVE fire extinguisher training tonight with Scott Richards and My Brothers Keeper. Excellent training scenarios and another great turnout by our dedicated volunteer members!

The statewide burn ban is in effect through May 14th. Fire danger risk is now high in the eastern part of the state, and moderate elsewhere. More info: https://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/58519.html
