Hilton High School's Best Buddies encouraged everyone, both in school & remote, to wear their equity & inclusion t-shirts on International Human Rights Day. Observed every year on 12/10, it marks the day in 1948 that the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The UDHR is a milestone document that proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being - regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Available in more than 500 languages, it is the most translated document in the world.

Mallory Heise, an 8th grader at Merton Williams, has collected over 3,000 applesauce caps since fourth grade! She recently decided to make them into 100 Christmas ornaments to brighten the holidays for the residents of Elderwood, a nursing and rehabilitation facility in Brockport.
