Hippie Chick's Farm and Egg Stand

Love this chart. We have about 85 free range chickens including 4 roosters on our farm. It's always a sweet surprise when we get some new fun colors. I hope you all are able to get eggs from the stand. I try to keep the cooler stocked, but it empties pretty fast.

Sharing again, because although we LOVE quiche and frittata, which both freeze and reheat nicely, there's only so many eggs 2 people can eat. I guess it's a good thing our dogs love eggs....right from the nesting boxes, shell and all. LOL! PLEASE message me so we can set up a time for you to pick up some fresh, local eggs. Free range and fed with fresh, local grain. I can even share some great egg recipes for you to try.

If you haven't figured it out by now, we are true animal lovers here on the farm. I always encourage to adopt, not shop when it comes to pets. Somebody out there needs one, or both, of these adorable pups! A lab, border collie mix should be great. Easy to train. Who can give them a loving home?

Hey friends! Hubby and I started collecting windows to build our own custom greenhouse. However, we still need a lot of windows. Doesn't matter size, a variety is actually what we're looking for, but everything must be free. So, if you, or anyone you know, are doing home renovation we would be happy to take those windows off your hands. Or, anything else you think we might need. An old greenhouse/shed frame would be sweet. I've been wanting a greenhouse since we first moved here.

Just wanted to share a picture of this beautiful rooster that was hatched on the farm last spring. He has the most beautiful colors! Daddy is a lavender orpington and for obvious reasons, I have no clue who the mama is. And, I make it a point to handle any roosters I plan to keep. Almost daily. I also refuse to keep any roosters that show aggression towards me or the other chickens. I try to make sure that there is a good rooster/hen ratio so they are less likely to fight each other. He really is stunning! I hope he continues to be a good boy.

PUPDATE: BOTH are HOME!!! - Canandaigua, NY Santa has now placed these two on the naughty list for taking advantage of a broken electric fence and making a brea...k for it. Hildie, pictured left, and Murphy, pictured right, went missing from their home on Egypt Road, between Gregg Rd and Co Rd 32, this afternoon (12/22). Their family has made all the right calls and have been checking barns and properties in the area, but have not caught wind of them. See more
