Meet Neil Hirani, Director of Technology: Mr. Hirani is a dynamic entrepreneur and business man. As the son of a professional engineer and business owner, Mr. Hirani began to learn about business, investments, construction and engineering at a young age. As he became more involved, his interests were sparked by technology-based initiatives including instrumentation, software integration, BIM, Lidar scanning, Photogrammetry, & Ground Penetrating Radar. As sales began to take o...ff, Mr. Hirani began his own division and is currently an integral part of the company’s growth. While Mr. Hirani focuses to take lead on these technology-based projects, he proved that he could implement cost-effective measures both on the engineering and administration side to increase profitability. As a result, he is also instrumental to the company’s core competencies including business development, engineering, surveying, construction inspection, construction management, and advanced technology services. Meet Joseph Allegra, L.S., Vice President, Advanced Survey Technology: Mr. Allegra is a Subject Matter Expert in the survey and mapping fields having performed work for Federal, Public, and Private institutions worldwide. His project metrology experience includes working on upgrades in steel mills, wastewater plants, refineries, bridges, buildings, and at Department of Defense (DOD) installations. He has utilized 3D Laser scanning for steam pipe line upgrades for the Archite...ct of the Capital tunnels systems, structural and collision issues in piping rack systems in process plants, construction deformation analysis for buildings, rail road systems and for Electrical Facilities. For the Federal Highways and Penn State, Mr. Allegra used 3D laser scanning to determine the as-built construction of curved steel girder bridges and the deformation of large steel web beams deflection during loading of construction deck concrete pours. Mr. Allegra began his 3D Laser Scanning in 2000 performing a white paper analysis on the use of 3D Laser scanning for Maryland State Highways determining its practical use for mapping Tunnels, Bridges, Railroads, and Roadways. His team published an article for Professional Surveyor 2003 and won an Honorable Mention at the National ACEC Awards ceremony in Washington, DC for the integration of 3D Laser Scanning. Since 2005, Mr. Allegra has been integrating remote operated UAV platforms collecting LiDAR and imaging data in the air, on the ground and water with conventional, mobile and static data collection platforms creating accurate 3D digital surface models.
