The National Guard was founded on December 13th, 1637. It is the oldest military organization in America that serves our country during times of war and emergency. Take time to honor those who have protected our country for centuries.

Happy Saturday Everyone. Obviously dealing with a significant lake snow event. Crews were out early today and will hang in there all afternoon. The south end ...above Greiner got pounded earlier this AM and now the bands have move north and we are all seeing similar amounts of accumulation. We have 12 trucks on the road and one in each snowplow route. We will all have to buckle down until the snow let’s up. It’s a good day to put the decorations away or more importantly help your elderly neighbors dig out! Stay safe out there!

You may have noticed the windows done up in the old Humbert store in the hollow...the sleds and skates and other outdoor equipment are on loan from the Historical Society. Stop by and check out the windows!

We were scheduled to be open this Sunday, December 13th, but due to the increasing situation in the county and the potential for bad weather, we have decided to remain closed. We are very excited for what we have in store for 2021 and can't wait to safely share with everyone! We look forward to seeing everyone hopefully sooner than later! We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Be safe!

Hanukkah, which is Hebrew for dedication, is the Festival of Lights. It commemorates the victory of the Maccabees over the Syrian Greek army, and the subsequent miracle of rededicating the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and restoring its menorah, or lamp. The miracle of Hanukkah is that only one vial of oil was found with just enough oil to illuminate the Temple lamp for one day, and yet it lasted for eight days.
