Join us for an important, thought-provoking program presented by Cheryl Wills, an award-winning anchor, reporter and journalist for "New York 1 News." She is the author of Die Free: A Heroic Family History, which traces her great-great-great grandfather Sandy Wills’ courageous service in the Civil War as a member of the U.S. Colored Troops. Cheryl made history as the first journalist invited to speak before the United Nations General Assembly for the International Remembrance of Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Books will be available for purchase and signing. This program is on February 15, 2020 at 2:30 PM at the Westbury Memorial Public Library, 445 Jefferson St., Westbury, NY11590, telephone 516-333-0176.

Sunday, November 17, 2019, 2:30 PM. Historic Quilts and Quilting Linda Radziminski, an award winning quilter, began collecting antique quilts about twenty years ago. Her collection consists mainly of quilts made in the 1930s and 40s from feed sacks. She will talk about how the quilts were made and what kind of quilt they are.
