As the world reacts to the coronavirus, the oil war battle and all of the extreme economic turmoil it is so important to stay calm and understand that life is still good. It may seem like a crazy time to be grateful for what we have as things spiral out of control...but I think it is indeed the time to be grateful for our families and our relationships. While financially things seem awful, this is temporary and this too shall pass. It may take time for the economy to regroup... and re-build but it will. We have been through many challenging and hazardous times before; September 11th and the terrorist attacks, the financial crisis of 2008-2009, the H1N1 Pandemic flu virus in 2009 also known as the Swine flu where 60 million people in the US were infected and over 12,000 people died; (I actually got the Swine Flu while I was in Lake Tahoe) and many more...It is painful no doubt and short term is scary but all will go on. We have always preached and strongly recommended a wide investment diversification for our clients as we try our best to help them build and protect their money so that it can be enjoyed and used in the most favorable method at the time it is wanted or needed. Having a diversified allocation of not only stocks and bonds but also whole life provides many options of where to pull funds from when needed or wanted. You are able to evaluate not only market conditions but taxes as well. You can see now how critical that really is in times like this. My hope is that you can somehow take a step back and go forward with gratitude and be grateful for what you have.
