Banquet porter prepares facilities for meetings and banquet events per client’s requirements, i.e. set tables, chairs, risers, tablecloths and skirting, pads, pens, glasses, flip charts and easels. Essential Functions Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event and Convention Orders, handle multiple tasks, and maintain a friendly outgoing personality. Report for work punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times. Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times Provide courteous and professional service at all times. Placing tables, chairs, risers etc. per meeting specifications, or diagram layout. Placing meeting condiments (pads, pens, mints, water) on tables. Setting up water stations, or buffets with linen and skirting. Breakdown of all the same. Sweep, vacuum, mop of convention rooms, open and close air walls as needed to accommodate client room needs.
