I just had to post this photo - since it's been a Charlotte Marie kind of week around here. She is a very special piece - I must say, and I am astounded each time I look at her. The work and skill that goes into each one ... well, let's just say - it takes years, generations to develop - not something one can learn to do overnight, and to those who's hands make it happen I say, "grazie mille."

I posted this some time ago on my blog. I was just looking at it again and realized how much it still resonates with me, so much so that I feel compelled to repost it. I learn a lot from others, and this brief clip from an interview with Michael Stipe and Mike Mills when they announced last year that their band was, after so many amazing years, finally hanging up their guitars - says so much. Inspiring: all about staying true. Among the most powerful statements: "the rule of no." Worth watching. HC.
