This Reformation Sunday, October 25th, Holy Trinity welcomes our own Chancel and Chapel Choir Lead Tim Flynn, bass, who will perform two incredible arias of Joh...ann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). We also welcome oboist Anna Mattix from the Buffalo Philharmonic who will be featured on the joyous aria, "Endlich, endlich wird mein Joch" from Cantata 56: "Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen." If that isn't enough splendor to feast your ears, Buffalo State College trumpet professor, Mark Filsinger will also accompany Tim on the aria, "Großer Herr, o starker König" from the Weihnachts-Oratorium BWV 248. Kristen performs two works by Dietrich Buxtehude (1668-1707) including the beloved "Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott" BuxWV 184, as well as a charming work, "Musica da processione" (2018) Opus 1305, by Carson Cooman (b. 1982).
