Every opportunity you pass up, no matter the excuse you could be setting your dreams or your goals back a week a month maybe more. Today, like so many other days I almost passed up on my opportunity to work out. Then, just before it would have been too late to fit it in, Yitzi Horowitz, my workout buddy reached out to me and told me he would kick my butt if I didn't go. I decided to stop procrastinating and went. The gym was crowded as I was now very short on time. I decided... to re estimate my 1 rep max for the deadlift. In the end I pulled the heaviest amount of weight I've ever pulled in my life, and had I not gone with this tremendous focus and will to dominate even though the odds were against me I'd have probably never discovered that I was actually stronger than I have myself credit for. Two lessons I was reminded of today. 1. Having a workout buddy to help keep you motivated and accountable for each workout is crucial. 2. Don't let opportunities slip through your fingers, you maybe letting go of delaying a major milestone.
