Happy Fred Day! Our thanks to Susan Wilson for introducing our congregation to Fred and "Fred Day" this morning during our Children's Moment. Do something nice for someone in honor and memory of Fred today and ask them to pass it on and do something nice for someone else!

No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. Tomorrow our All Saints Communion Sunday worship service will be live and live-streamed from our sanctuary. We will consider the instructions found in Philippians 4:4-9. You many bring your own bread and juice, or use our pre-packaged elements for Communion. As you prepare for worship, think about the saints of your life. If you cannot attend in person, find a link to the service at www.homercc.com Next Sunday is Stewardship Sunday. Remember to turn your clocks back tonight as daylight savings begins!

Many pair of warm mittens have been cut out and returned to the table in the Russell Fellowship Room. The next step is sewing the mittens together which requires only very basic sewing skills. If you, or someone you know, could help sew, we already have knit cuffs ready to attach and some people to complete that step so the mittens can be distributed before winter. For more information, contact Gail Brennan.

CROP WALK 2020 UPDATE Sunday, Oct. 25th From Pastor Vicki: In the midst of necessary distancing, we did a version of the CROP Walk todaytaking laps around the green. Our children & youth walked from 10:15 11:30. Adults took several laps before worship and one or two after worship. At least two people agreed to sponsor $1/lap. All together, we walked 198 laps! (Two young men, Asa & Daniel are responsible for 20 laps, each!) The funds for the CROP Walk are used to alleviate... hunger around the world through Church World Service. 25% comes back to Cortland County to support the area programs that deal with hunger, including Loaves & Fishes AND the Homer Food Pantry. If you are able/willing to donate to the CROP Walk effort, you can mail (or drop it off) a check made out to Church World Service. If you make the check to HCC, be sure to put CROP Walk in the memo. Any amount is welcomed: 1 cent/lap or 50 cents/lapwell you get the picture. You can also get online to donate: https://www.crophungerwalk.org/.../Homer-Congregational... Write a check or donate online it is up to you. Your gifts are appreciated. When we each do what we can; together, we move mountains (or feed 5,000!). Here's our Crop Walk donation page with the latest update of our donations toward our $1,500 goal. Can we do it?

Please help meet our Church's goal for the 2020 Virtual Crop Walk. Our Faith Formation Children and Jr. High Youth Group will be walking laps around the Green on Sunday morning and they would love to have a few more sponsors, or invite anyone who would like to join them in a lap or two to lace up their walking shoes and come a few minutes early for worship! Please place your donations in an envelope in an offering plate. Checks should be made out to CWS/CROP. You can also donate on-line at the link provided below. Thanks for helping us walk to wipe out hunger locally, across the country, and around the globe!
